The Speed and Expectation of Instant Replies

Formed by combining “text” and “expectation,” textpectation describes the impatience, excitement, and sometimes anxiety that we feel while waiting for a message to be answered.

Textpectation captures the emotional swings people experience when they expect a fast reply.
